Responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic
In December 2020, Access Smile Foundation redirected its focus and resources to address the urgent needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many individuals were financially and psychologically unable to visit health facilities for routine check-ups and essential medical care.
To bridge this gap, the Foundation organized free health screening programmes across selected underserved communities. In total, over 15,000 people benefited from these health interventions, receiving:
- Basic medical screenings
- Health assessments
- Preventive care guidance
Providing Relief and Essential Support
In addition to health services, the Foundation extended its impact by distributing essential relief items to communities affected by the pandemic.
These included:
- Ready-prepared meals
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs)
- Other essential supplies
Beneficiary communities in the Amansie West District included:
- Esaase Bontefufuo
- Aboabo
- Tetrem
- Jeninso
- Bonteso
- Moseaso
- Yawkrom
- Antoakrom
Communities in the Sekyere West District:
- Dida
- Kyebi
- Ohemaa Deduako
And in the Sekyere Afram Plains District:
- Dagomba Ketewa and surrounding areas
